How verification works

Anyone can type a brand name into a form. So a listing goes live only after a person has reviewed it, and the two stamps are added by us, never by the distributor.

Before a listing is published

  1. The distributor submits a GST number and a GST certificate or business proof.
  2. We check that the GST number is in the correct format. The form rejects anything else.
  3. A person reviews the listing and approves or rejects it.

The two stamps

GST verifiedGST VERIFIEDCHECKED BY US

GST verified

We looked up the GST number on the government GST portal and confirmed that it is active and that the registered name matches the business and its certificate.

Brand confirmedBRAND CONFIRMEDBY THE BRAND

Brand confirmed

We contacted the brand through its official channel, not through details given by the distributor, and the brand confirmed that this business distributes it. The stamp shows when at least one brand on the profile has confirmed. The profile table marks which brands did.

What a missing stamp means

A listing without a stamp is approved but not yet verified. It does not mean anything is wrong. Brand confirmation depends on the brand replying, and many do not reply quickly.

Authorisation letters

Distributors can upload an authorisation letter or certificate for any brand. We read it during review. It is never shown publicly.

If a listing claims a brand it does not distribute, email admin@findyourdistributor.com. We remove false claims.
